Josephine "Jo" Hutchens

Jo Hutchens was born on November 15, 1942 to Lester Jett and Verda Wagner-Jett. She was born and raised in Waldron, Arkansas but moved to California at the age of 18 when she married the love of her life, JT Hutchens. Together, they lived and raised their children over the last 50 years in the little, mountain town of North Fork, CA. She was a member of the North Fork Assembly of God Church and later attended His Church in Coarsegold, CA. She owned and operated Tangles Hair Salon in Oakhurst, CA where she worked as a hairstylist for over 30 years. She was also a fierce advocate for family values, and worked for Traditional Values Coalition and lobbied in Washington DC. She continued to stand for freedom and family values up until the day she entered heaven on October 2, 2021.

She’s survived by her husband of 60 years, JT Hutchens, her daughter Jaylene Robinson, her son and daughter-in-law Jessie and Michele Hutchens, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren and her sister, Verlene Trumble.  

She loved her husband and her family but most of all her Lord and her Savior, Jesus Christ.
She will be dearly missed each and every day. Until we meet again.

Private Graveside service will be held at North Fork Cemetery
