Mr Joe Vargas Jr.

Jose G. “Joe” Vargas, 57, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his home in Madera, CA.

He was born on September 15, 1964 in Toppenish, Washington to Jose G. Vargas Sr. and Olivia Ramirez Vargas. Joe grew up in the Tri-City area in Washington until he moved to Madera in 1988. Joe was a Union worker and member of the Madera Elks Lodge. Joe loved telling funny stories and making people laugh. He loved listening to music and had an awesome playlist he always shared. Joe was a hard worker and always enjoyed working with his union brothers.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Jose G. and Olivia Vargas.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Marie Vargas of 36 years, his two daughters Stefani (Ruben) and Kaila (Mario) Vargas both of Madera, and his three grandchildren Savannah Vargas, Jesus III and Sebastian Montemayor. Two brothers Jose A. Vargas (Elma) of Sunnyside, WA. and Ray Vargas (Thelma) of Pasco, WA. and seven sisters Alicia (Efrain) Reyna of Burlington, WA., Nora (Pete) Ortega of Everett, WA., Olga Vargas of Kennewick, WA., Sylvia Vargas, Norma Vargas, Cora (Jose) Llanes, and Betty (George) Villarreal all of Pasco, WA. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was dearly loved by all and will be missed very much.

Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Jay Chapel, 1121 Roberts Ave., Madera, CA 93637
