Jose Luis Sanchez Barriga of Madera, California passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the age of 67. Jose was born on July 8, 1952 in Michoacan, Mexico. Jose was a resident of Madera since 1968.

Upon his arrival he worked in agriculture and proceeded his career in truck driving. Jose was known for being a great family man, who enjoyed being a mechanic, barbecuing, gardening and a handyman. He was a well-known respected man, always willing to offer a helping hand to his family and the community.

Jose loved spending time with his family. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchild. He loved having family meals with his loved ones. He loved listening to music and singing.

He is survived by the love of his life of 46 years, Martha Barajas Sanchez and his children Martha Sanchez, Cecilia Sanchez and husband Noe Gallegos, David Sanchez and wife Claudia Diaz, Angie Sanchez and Gerardo Ramirez. He is beloved as “Wello” or “Grandpa” to his grandchildren, Jose Alfredo Barriga, Selena Barriga, Andrea, Angel Barriga, Daisy Gallegos, Noe Gallegos Jr., Marcos Gallegos, Sergio Diaz, Emily Ledesma, Celeste Ledesma, Alina Sanchez, Sophia Sanchez and great grandchild Daleyza Barriga.

A celebration of Jose Luis Sanchez Barriga Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
