Jose Diaz Gomez

Jose Diaz Gomez, age 81, a native of El Grullo, Jalisco, Mexico and a resident of Madera for 60 years, passed away on December 27, 2020 of a sudden illness at his home. Jose was the son of Pedro Diaz and Maria Gomez. He up in Mexico where he received his education before immigrating to California. He retired from Agriculture following 30 years of dedicated work.

Jose was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church where he volunteered at the Holy Family Table of the parish helping those less fortunate and needing a helping hand. Jose was a quite man who enjoyed reading, his walks and the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Jose was preceded in death by his wife Maria in 2010 and by a daughter Martha Diaz in 1989.

He was the beloved father to Joe Diaz of Mexico, Andrew Diaz of Madera, Victor Diaz of New Mexico, Ernesto Diaz of Nevada, Teresa Diaz and Angelica Diaz both of Fresno.

He was the cherished grandpa to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family graveside service will be hel at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, on Tuesday, January 5, 2020 at 2:00 PM.
