Jennie Reyes Gonzalez, age 88, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019, in Madera. Born March 9, 1931, in Hardin, Montana, the daughter of Juan Reyes and Carlotta Cuevas. Married Garsadan “Danny” Brady Gonzalez.
Jennie was lifetime resident of Madera. She worked at various occupations in her life. She was a devoted wife, and very loving mother who cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Danny, both parents, two daughters, Dianna Gonzalez and Linda Gonzalez, grandson, Robert Ochoa, ten siblings, Lupe Estrada, Louise Galindo, Nellie Adame, Mary Tofoya, Lupe (Chata) Luna, Joe Reyes, Lawrence Reyes, Jimmy Reyes, Louie Reyes and Albert Reyes.
She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Correa, Virginia Rodriguez and her husband John, Teresa Ochoa and her husband Joe, her sister Eleanor Frescas, 11 grandchildren, Kristi, Daniel, Nicholas, Randolph, Jennifer, Roxanne, Joseph, Bernadette, Michael, Clarisa and Mason, and 27 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all caregivers who helped during Jennie's illness, Sylvia Chavez, granddaughter, Clarisa Correa, , great granddaughters, Symone Ochoa, Kristen Ochoa, Jazmine Gutierrez, Jossette Nino, Alyssity Hernandez, Samantha Anaya and many others that where there.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Jay Chapel Funeral Home with a Rosary service following at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera. Interment immediately following at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
The family requests donations be sent to Alzheimer’s Foundation and Hinds Hospice in Jennie’s name.
