Javier Garcia Jr., a native and lifelong resident of Madera passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his Madera home surrounded by those who loved him. Javier passed away following a long and courageous battle with Cancer. He grew up in Madera where he received his education graduating from Furman High School in 1994. Javier had a career in Auto Parts which spanned 20 years rising to the position of District Manager for the Auto Zone Stores before retiring due to his health challenges.
Well known in the Madera Community he was an active participant in the Relay For Life programs. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, woodworking, working on his truck, and barbequing .
Javier is survived by his two beloved daughters, Mireya and Celeste Garcia both of Madera. He is the son of Javier Garcia Sr.and Maria Garcia of Madera. He is the brother of Alejandro Aguilar and his wife Gloria of Eagle Pass, Texas, Rafael and Christina Aguilar of Clovis, Juan Carlos Aguilar of Fresno, Jose Garcia and Mercedes Ochoa of Madera and his sister Gloria Garcia of Madera.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 6 PM to 7 PM at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church followed by the Rosary & Vigil Service at 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11 AM also at St. Joachim Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
