Mrs Janie H. Martinez

Janie Martinez passed away February 1, 2021 at the age of 70. She was born in Castroville, Texas to Pablo Hernandez and Elvira Vasquez Hernandez on April 19, 1950. She was married to her beloved husband Jose “Joe” Martinez for 50+ years until he made his way to heaven almost 5 years ago. We take some comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.

Janie was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and great-great grandmother. We will miss her silliness and random hiccups. We will always love her and miss her dearly. She was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera.

She is survived by her sons, Joe Martinez, Jr. Ernie Martinez, Alfred Martinez and Tony Martinez, her daughters, Evelyn Villalobos and Della Martinez. Janie also leaves behind her brother, Frank Hernandez, and sister, Mary, twenty-one, grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Rosary & Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joachim Catholic Church on Thursday, February 18, 2021, Madera, CA, Rosary 10:30 a.m. and Mass 11:00 a.m.
