James Otis Alvis

James O Alvis was called to his heavenly home on July 25, 2022. He was born in Peach Orchard, Arkansas to Lehman and Louise Alvis on September 19, 1938. Jim married Betty Wann on September 5, 1960 in Firebaugh, California.

Jim was drafted into the Army in 1961 and served in France. He spent 38 years working in agriculture. The majority of those years were spent as a Ranch Foreman for Sherman Thomas and his last few years at LM&M Farms.

His Passion was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Betty, his two daughters Pam (Patrick), and Janet (Brian).
Grandchildren Anthony (Maria), Jamie (Ray), Stephanie (Joey), Megan (David), and Morgan.
Five great grandchildren with one more on the way. Siblings Patricia, Carol, Phyllis and Debbie (Cliff). Also many nephews and nieces.

Proceeded in death by his Father, Mother and sister Doris.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Grace Community Church, 17755 Rd 26, Madera, CA 93638

Interment will be held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery on, Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
