Mrs Helen Poore Van Buren

Helen J. Van Buren age 74, a native and lifelong resident of Madera, CA was born June 30, 1943 to the late Calvin Greer Poore and Edna Louise Poore. Helen passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, June 29, 2018 just one day before her 75th birthday.

Helen started her career with Heublein Wines in 1972. She worked as a Consumer Relations Specialist. Through the years, the company changed ownership and ultimately Helen retired for Constellation Brands after 34 dedicated years in 2006.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving parents, Calvin and Edna Poore and her infant sister, Wanda Poore.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Duane Van Buren of Madera, CA. Her children, Charles Van Buren of Madera, CA and Gayle Carithers and her husband Sam also of Madera, CA. Her two brothers, Gerald Poore and his wife Sharon of Rocklin, CA and Danny Poore and his wife Virginia of Madera. CA. She was the beloved grandmother to Sarah Salcedo-Pedroni, Lukas Boehm, Skylar Van Buren and Jakson Carithers.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 10:00 am at Jay Chapel in Madera. Interment will be at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
