Guadalupe Ayala Cazares

Guadalupe Ayala Cazares passed away on Tuesday May 12, 2020 at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 7, 1932 to Wenselo “Ben“, and Esther Ayala in Madera, California. Guadalupe attended St. Joachim Catholic School where she graduated 8th grade. A few years ago; Guadalupe was chosen as distinguished alumni and given an award. She graduated from Madera High Class of 1950.

She worked in the billing department at Madera Community Hospital retiring as Department Manager. Guadalupe was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church where she was very active. She was involved in the, Guadalupana Society, the Alter Society and the Y.L.I.; she started the “Open up your Heart Marian Center”. Guadalupe was also a member of Talleres de Formacion Espiritual; Guadalupe was welcomed into the family of St. Joseph and she was a CCD teacher for St. Joachim Catholic Church.

Preceded her in death are her sons, Mario Cazares and Louis Cazares and two infant children.

Guadalupe is survived by her children, Joe Cazares of Arizona, Elias Cazares of Arizona, Cecilia Smith and her husband Denis of Sonora, CA, Derek Cazares and his wife Shannon of Fresno, Victoria Cazares-Pajarillo and her husband Frank of Madera, Virginia Cazares of Madera and Robert Cazares and his wife Joya of Clovis, CA and her sister, Carmen Martinez of Madera. Guadalupe also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, as well as, many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.

Remembrances may be made in Guadalupe’s name to St. Joachim Catholic School, 310 North I Street, Madera, CA 93637
