Mrs Gloria Castro

Gloria E. Castro passed away on Monday, February 08, 2021 at the age of 65, in Madera. She was born in Lubbock, Texas to Manual and Juanita Rivera on May 28, 1955. A resident of Madera, Gloria graduated from Madera High School class of 1974. She then attended Fresno City College where she studied Art. She was an active member of St. Joachim Catholic Church. She was also a former member of the Cancer Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. Gloria was a baker at the Fruit Basket Restaurant for over 25 years. She also worked for the Madera School District for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being a friend, a mother and most of all a grandmother.

Gloria will be remembered for her love of children, the stories she told and most of all her ability to communicate with people and reach them on a deep personal level. Everyone who met my mother, has fond personal memories of her and will keep her alive in their hearts.

She is survived by her children, Rigoberto Castro III, Ambrosia Castro-Dominguez and her husband Hector Dominquez. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Nathaniel R. Castro, Nicholas R. Castro and Jedrek P. Dominquez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the services will be limited to 50 people.

Rosary & Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Madera, CA Rosary 12:30 p.m. and Mass 1:00 p.m. Please followCOVID-19 guidelines
