Glen Royce Burnett, 87, a native of Canada and a resident of Madera for 38 years, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in Madera.
He was born on March 15, 1935, to Elmer V. Burnett and Jessie (McFarland) Burnett. Glen was a Cattle Buyer in the Dairy Livestock industry. He grew up in Kingsburg and went to work in Canada before coming back to California (Santa Ynez valley, then back to Kingsburg and the last 37 years in Madera). He served in the Army for several years and worked with cattle as a buyer in the latter years. He was an active member of the Model-A club out of Merced. Glen preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Mary Laine Burnett in 2019, by both parents and his son, Ronald Burnett.
He is survived by three sons, Dewey and his wife Meredith, Roy and his wife Elizabeth and Vincent Burnett, his daughter Debbie Silva and her husband Randy; 11 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera.
Interment will be at a later date at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.
Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
