Genevieve Barragan

Genevieve Barragan passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Genevieve was born October 16, 1922 in Firebaugh California, where she resided her entire life. Genevieve was 98 years old at her passing. Her late husband, Tony Barragan preceded her in death in 2017. Genevieve and Tony were married for seventy-two wonderful years and is the beloved mother of four children, Shirley Paganucci and her husband Richard, Tom Barragan, Danny Barragan and his wife Terrie, Gary Barragan and his wife Melody. Genevieve had six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous family members and friends.

Genevieve was a member of the St. Joseph parish and choir for over 75 years and a member of the St. Joseph YLI organization. Genevieve was also an active member of the local American Legion Axillary for 73 years. Genevieve and Tony supported the local Firebaugh High School sports programs for many years. Every Friday night you would look up in the stands and see them in the same seats game after game. Genevieve was a homemaker, but early on in her life, worked for local business in town.

Many people will miss Genevieve, but her family will desperately miss her most of all. We love you mom!

Recitation of the Rosary will be on Monday April 12, 2021 at 10:00 am followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am both at St. Joseph Church in Firebaugh, California.

Interment will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens in Fresno
