Frank Vincent Rocco
December 17, 1922-April 16, 2017

Frank Vincent Rocco, a loving, strong and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on a beautiful glorious day, Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the age of 94 with his family by his side. He was born in Pueblo, Colorado to Natale Rocco and Philomena Scalese. The family moved to California in 1941 after the passing of his mother. He served in the Army during WWII as a Tech Sargent. He loved telling stories about that time in his life.

Frank worked for Leeds shoe store on the Fulton Mall for many years and then worked for Glaser Bros. as their top salesman until retirement. After he retired he loved playing golf with his group of buddies. He was very fortunate to get to go on the Central Valley Honor Flight several years ago and had an amazing trip!  Frank's family was the most important thing in his life. He loved celebrating birthdays and holidays. He never missed a sports event for any of his grandchildren. His two great granddaughters lite up his world. In August of 2016 he decided to go and live at the Veterans Home in Fresno. His new home brought a lot of joy and fun to his life. He made many new friends and became very active. We would like to thank the staff and nurses for the great care and love shown to our dad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Louise of 67 years, brother Vincent Rocco; sister Rose Riso and son-in-law Mark Montevecchi.

Frank is survived by his son Dan and his wife Diane; daughter DeeDee and husband Mike Swieso; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Betty Cardinale, brother Natale Rocco; sister-in-law Ann Savona; brother-in-law Paul Savona and many close family members, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Sunday April 23, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Rosary immediately following, at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Service and Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fresno on Monday April 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery immediately following.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hinds Hospice, Central Valley Honor Flight Foundation or charity of your choice.
