Eutimio “Tim” Garcia, Jr.
Tim Garcia age 88, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 in Modesto, CA. He was born May 6, 1930, in Redlands, CA the son of Eutimio Garcia, Sr. and Dolores Arzate. Tim joined the US Air Force in 1952 where he became a Staff Sergeant while stationed in Colorado Springs, CO. Upon completion of his military service Tim returned to Madera where he worked as a truck driver, and later for Mission Bell Winery for over 20 years as a forklift operator until his retirement. Tim married his beautiful wife, Mary in July 1966. They were together 49 years before she preceded him in death in 2015. He was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church.
Tim was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his son, Ronald Garcia, his parents, two brothers, Joe and Trino, his three sisters, Lupe Bueno, Lenny Torres, Isabel Romero and two nephews Jerry Garcia and Gary Garcia.
He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Garcia, two brothers, Nash Garcia and Raymond Garcia and his wife Esther and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his good friends, Brian and Amy Denham and many beloved relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Senior Helpers, Madera Community Hospital, Madera Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility and the Central Valley Specialty Hospital in Modesto for the kindness shown to Tim and his family.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA
Recitation of the Rosary will be held on: Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 10:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
