Mrs Esther Castro Lamoreaux

Esther Lamoreaux was called home on Thursday March 8, 2018 at the age of 84. Esther was born and raised in Madera where she started her career in the medical field at Madera County Hospital in the medical records department. In 1964 she moved to Fresno. Throughout the years she held various positions in physician’s offices. Esther retired at the age of 70. Esther loved music. Her favorite instrument was the violin, which she used to play in her early years. She also loved to sing even if it was only at home. Her biggest joy in life were her children and grandchildren who love her and will be truly miss her.

Esther was preceded in death by her mother Carmen Castro, grandparents Refugio and Micaela Rico, her aunt Josie Rico and her husband Carl Lamoreaux.
Esther leaves behind her daughters Patricia Esparza and Marie Esparza. Granddaughter Kimberly Esparza whom she raised as a daughter. Four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Her brother Nicholas Castro, sister in law Jill and her nieces and nephews.

Esther was ill the last 12 years of her life. She put her life in god's hands and when he saw she was tired he called her home. She is now playing her violin and singing with the angels.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 2 PM to 8 PM at Jay Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 10 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (Friant Road and Champlain ) in Fresno. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Madera. Remembrances may be made to Hinds Hospice.
