Estella Martinez

Mrs. Estella Martinez, age 83, a native of Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico and a resident of Madera, CA for 54 years, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at her Madera home. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church. Estella enjoyed coloring, sewing, and beautiful flowers. Most of all Estella loved being a grandma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Maria Del Refugio (Orejel) Vega, her husband Pablo Martinez and daughter Yolanda Martinez.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert Martinez of Washington State and Pablo Martinez and his wife Imelda of Madera, four daughters, Lourdes Saucedo and her husband Isaac of Madera, Martha Gonzalez and her husband Carmen of Chowchilla, Rose Sanchez and her husband Genaro of Madera and Angelica Perez and her husband Leonard also of Madera. She is also survived by her four brothers, six sisters, fifteen grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a Vigil service beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel in Madera.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
