Emma Jean Bounds – Smith 85, a native of Stillwater, OK and a resident of Madera for 80 years passed away , Thursday, Jan 14, 21 in Boise, Idaho. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Newalla, OK.

She was a homemaker and had work at the Madera Flower Shop as a flower arranger.

Emma is preceded by her Parents, Melven and Sarah Sloan, her husband Dale Bounds in 2003, her Siblings, Freda Lee, Betty Leach, Oneta Mayabb, Margaret Sloan, Kay Sloan, Wilbur Sloan.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Ken Smith of Oklahoma. Her children: Phyllis Ruggeri and her husband Carman of Coarsegold, CA, Gail Iest and her husband Robert of Eagle Idaho, Monte Bounds and his wife Julie of Madera a step Daughter Tracy Rogers and her husband Kenny of Amarillo, TX. Emma also leaves behind her siblings: Melba Ogletree and Ken Sloan and his wife Melissa all of Madera. Her five grandchildren: Patrick Ruggeri and his wife Chrissy, Amanda Demusy and her husband Michael, Jacob and Clayton Iest, Johanna Marx and her husband Sebastian, and Andrew Rogers and Kaytlin Rogers, with 10 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, Jan.25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, CA

Rememberances may be made to St Jude Children Hospital or St. Agnes Hospice of Fresno.
