Mr Eloy "Buddy" Villegas

Eloy Villegas, 42, a lifelong resident of the Central Valley passed away at his Mendota California home on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Eloy as born to Jesus and Maria Villegas in 1976. Eloy attended Mendota Schools and was a graduate of Mendota High School and later took college courses. He was a former employee of Von’s Grocery Stores at the Blackstone Avenue store in Fresno. Following the closure of the Blackstone Store Eloy went to work in to the Automobile Business as an automobile salesman for the last several years. Most recently he was a caregiver for his mother.

Eloy was preceded in death by his father Jesus in 2018.

He is survived by his mother Maria Villegas of Madera. He is the brother of Jesus “Jesse” Villegas Jr of Sacramento, California, Martin Villegas of Mendota, California, Manuel Villegas of Fresno, California, Lupe Valles of Firebaugh, California, Josefina Villegas of Mendota, California and Janie Llanez of Fresno, California. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mendota, California, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 followed by recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Celebrant of the Mass will be Fr. Gonzalo Spiller-Ramirez. Interment will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
