Elodia Murillo Trujillo

Elodia “Lodi” Trujillo, age 77, passed to be with the Lord on August 30, 2018 in Madera, CA. Lodi was born on July 5, 1941 to Mike and Lupe Murillo in Junction, TX.

Lodi relocated to the Fresno area at age 10 and became a resident of Firebaugh, CA. Upon completion of her education, Lodi worked in the food packing industry for 50 years.

Lodi attended and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Firebaugh, CA. Lodi enjoyed crocheting, knitting, baking and cooking. Lodi was known to make the BEST tamales by family and friends. Lodi also enjoyed to bowl, her bowling talent allowed her to win trophies. Above all else, Lodi had a passion to fish, if she could fish every day, she would not pass it up! Lodi would always out catch her family by catching the biggest fish!

Lodi is preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Lupe Murillo and one brother, Ray Murillo.

Lodi is survived by her three daughters, Lydia Trujillo of Firebaugh, Janet Elizalde of Fresno and Vyanka Trujillo of Fresno, her three brothers, Ramiro and his wife Alice Murillo of Dos Palos, Rene Murillo of Fresno and Michael Murillo of Firebaugh, and her two sisters, Margaret Camacho of Firebaugh and Alice and her husband James Thompson of Madera Ranchos. Lodi leaves behind her 8 loving grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Donations can be made in Elodia’s honor to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1558 12th Street, Firebaugh, CA 93622.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Firebaugh. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm at St. Joseph’s.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment immediately following at Dos Palos Cemetery.
