Tribute

Eileen Belle Endter (Walker) was born Thursday, June 25, 1936 to Chester Kenneth Endter and Kathleen Iona Wilcox. She was born and raised in Long Beach, California. Eileen was the oldest of four children and grew up loved in a happy family.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life and has a strong love for, and testimony of, her Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As a young girl, Eileen developed a love of family history that she shared with her Grandma Dziekan. This love became a lifelong hobby (and sometimes business). She loved to write. She wrote stories and kept journals all her life.

In 1957, she married the love of her life, Edwin Charles Walker (son of Charles Stephen Walker and Dorothy Durnbaugh). They were happily married until Edwin’s death (of cancer) in 1988.
Edwin joined the Air Force and the next 20+ years Eileen supported, and moved with him, as they were transferred. They lived in Sacramento, California, Long Beach, California, Antigo, Wisconsin, Paramount, California, Shell Rock, Iowa, and Fresno, California. Two of those years, Eileen raised the children while “Ed” was in Alaska and Korea.

Ed and Eileen had 10 children: Michelle, Deborah, Lori, Michael, Tami, Karyn, Stephen, Richard, Stephanie, and Robert.

Eileen was a social person and loved people. She loved to smile. She did many things throughout her life with people.

She spent decades visiting or working at the Family History Center (1814 N. Echo Ave.). She loved volunteering at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Oakland Temple and Fresno Temple.

Eileen enjoyed the 25+ years spent with her Avon customers.

She graduated from Jordan High School (Long Beach) and Fresno State College.
She was a long time member, sometimes officer, of “Daughters of the Utah Pioneers”.
Eileen passed away peacefully on October 25, 2019 after short (but long time) medical issues.
She was joyfully reunited with her husband Edwin, two sons Richard and Robert, a daughter Lori, a SIL David Termeer, her parents and in-laws, a sister Susanne, and a granddaughter, as well as many generations of family members whom she loved.

She is survived by a family that loves her. Her children, Michelle (Doug) Johnson, Debbie Termeer, Michael (Tracey) Walker, Tami (David) Thomas, Karyn Powers, Stephen (Heather) Walker, Stephanie Spicer, and Peggyann Walker (DIL), as well as 32 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister and brother, Carol Jean Thomas and Kenneth Waldemar Endter.

She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives all over the world that she connected with through the years, as well as friends she has known for decades, or weeks.
We are thankful for the years of service given to her by her church group and friends.
We are thankful for the help of Brian Sisson of Jay Chapel Mortuary (Madera).
