Mrs Effie N. Cardena

Effie N. Cardena, 78 of Chowchilla, California passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at a Chowchilla Care Facility after a lengthy illness. Effie was born in New Mexico and later moved to California. She was a resident of Madera, California since 1979 until 8 years ago when she moved to Chowchilla. While a resident of Madera she was a child care provider.
Effie was preceded in death by her parents Leslie Smith Moorhead and Authula Alley McGowen and by her husband of 55 years Joseph O. Cardena in 2017.

Effie is survived by her children, Lisa Adanalian and her husband Simon of Clovis, California, Rhanell Mendoza and her husband Ramon of Oakhurst, California, Leslie Creamer and her husband Richard of Madera, and Cathy Cardena and her husband Froylan Pulido of Chowchilla, California. Effie is the beloved grandmother of seven, “Gigi” to four great grandchildren with another great grandchild on the way.

Private Services were held under the care of Jay Chapel of Madera.

Remembrances in lieu of flowers may be made to Hinds Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Foundation in her name.
