Mr Douglas Gene Melikian

Douglas "Doug" Gene Melikian, 75, of Fresno, CA passed away on April 19, 2022 at St Agnes Medical center.

He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and his hilarious sense of humor. Whether you believed his stories, he truly brought life to the party.

Doug was born on February 1, 1947 to Buck and Mary Koligian Melikian who farmed in rural Madera County where he attended grammar school at Easton Arcola and graduated from Madera High School Class of 1965 shortly after, he attended Fresno City College. The Melikian Family were prominent members of the Madera Community where his father served on the School Board, and his mother was a member of the well known Koligian Family of Fresno. The Melikian Family were also members of St. Paul Armenian Church of Fresno.

Doug had retired several years ago after working for ZAKS Security Company in Madera and moved to Fresno with his wife, Luana, and daughter, Stevie, to be closer to his Doctors for his Leukemia treatments.

In addition to his wife Luana, Doug is survived by his Children: Kristy and her husband Richard Sahagun mof Visalia, Rebecca Burkhart and her husband Luke of Fresno, Jeremy Melikian of Santa Maria, Jennifer Melikian of Fresno, Stevie Melikian of Fresno. He is the brother of David Melikian and his wife Kathleen of Clovis, and the grandfather of Sarah Sahagun, Cindy Glick and Briana Melikian.
