Donna was born on May 27, 1933. She grew up on the family ranch, which was located on Minnewawa Avenue in Fresno, CA with adoptive parents Marie and Maurice Ducey. From an early age Donna worked with her parents at the family business in Bass Lake named Ducey’s Lodge. Some of Donna’s fondest memories were at the Ducey’s Lodge spending time with family and friends, entertaining during the holidays and water skiing. Donna attended Roosevelt High School and graduated in 1951, later attending Fresno State where she studied nursing. Donna married her first husband, Allen Funch Jr., in the early fifties and had two loving children Kathleen and Linda Funch. In 1983 she married her loving husband and partner of 30 years, Jim Manion. Some of Donna’s hobbies included: gardening, cross-stitch, reading and spending time with loved ones. Donna passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim Manion, and daughters, Kathleen Michel, and Linda Funch Vadon.

She is survived by grandchildren Taylor and Brittany Vadon, Lisa Enger, Jennifer Carlson, Sean Scott, her great-grandchildren, Jim’s children, Maureen Penix, James Manion and their families.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
