Entered this world with his presence on March 12, 1951 to Parents: Henry C. and Margaret Watson.

Exited unexpectedly on December 8, 2021. Don will always be remembered for his sense of humor. He loved and cherished his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Henry C. and Margaret, grandparents, In-laws. Roy and Wanda Morgan, beloved pets; Ace a Black Lab, and A.J. a Rottweiller.

Survived by his wife, Pattee, sons Luke (Kristin), Jarrod, Grandsons, Colton and Connor, Brother, Larry (Patti) of Pa. Sisters; Edie Gray (Lyle) Orland, Ca., Cindy Martinusen (Terrance) Kingsburg, Ca. Special cousin-in-law Janet DaSilva. Don was well loved by all his nieces and nephews.

He was part of a championship team of wrestlers at Madera High School Class of 1969, he also played football. He attended Fresno City College where he wrestled, and played football also. After college he started working for Coelho Farms, loading hay trucks also for Ralph Webster, and at O. Howard Glantz farms. Later he worked for Ar-K Vineyards as manager for 8 years.

Pattee and Don met the summer of 1976 at Millerton Lake. They were married in 1978. It was a long journey of love, 43 years. They have two sons, he coached their Little League baseball team on years as they played.

In 1993 he quit Ar-K Vineyards and went to work for Cherokee Freight Lines as a driver. Long hours, he loved it, he made lifelong friends for 23 years.

He loved the mountains, especially Bass Lake, Salt Log (Beasore Meadows). He loved playing horse shoes and lots of tournaments with others. He was an avid Deer Hunter going on trips with friends looking for the big one. Two years ago Madera High Class of 1969 wrestling team members were inducted into the Hall of Fame. They were all very proud of that accomplishment.

A Memorial Service will be held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, in the Arbor Area on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10 AM.
