Don Burgess passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. He was born in Fresno, CA to parents Sharon and Donald Burgess Sr. He moved to Kerman at a young age with his mother Sharon and later returned to Fresno where he spent most of his life. He spent ten years living in Oakhurst, CA, and moved back to Fresno in 2020 where he lived until his passing.

Don was a hard-working and firm businessman who began his career in the construction industry in 1977. He always wanted to share his business with his children and made that a reality when he started Donald Burgess Contracting with his son Tyler in January of 2020. His passion for the business was evident as he worked until the days leading to his death. His other passions included riding motorcycles, and cheering on his favorite sports teams - the Dodgers, the Raiders and the Lakers.

Don was a devoted family man and father. He was someone that would leave it all at the door in order to enjoy his weekends with family and friends. He made sure his children knew the value of an education, and instilled a very strong work ethic within them.

Don is predeceased by his mother Sharon Jones. He is survived by his father Donald Burgess Sr., and his four children Brady, Tyler, Heidi, and Lauren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 9, 2021 at 1531 W Warner Ave. Fresno, CA 93711 at 3:00pm.
