Delia Martinez

Delia Martinez, age 66, passed away in Fresno on July 26, 2018. Delia was born in Edinburg, Texas to Mauro and Leonela Molina on March 6, 1952. Delia has been a resident of Madera for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera, and spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. Delia was an amazing cook who loved to crochet, dance, go yard selling, play slots at the casinos, and take photos. She loved her family and loved being at family gatherings. She was a loving wife, the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Delia is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Alma Cota, her brother-in-law Cres Orecuelas, her nephew Cres Matthew Orecuelas, and her cousin Gilbert Alaniz.

Delia is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Robert Martinez Sr., her two sons Robert Martinez Jr. and his wife Annette of Madera and Ruben Martinez of Madera, her daughter Danielle Martinez and her husband Adam Amezcua of Madera, her two brothers Alex Molina of Madera and Mauro Molina Jr. of Madera, her six sisters Mary Perales, Nora Orecuelas, Diana Patterson and her husband Johnny, Stella Molina, Alicia Chavez and her husband Rudy Sr., and Leticia Molina all of Madera. Delia also leaves behind her eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera, CA.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Madera, CA. Services will conclude at the church.
