Daniel Paul Jones

Daniel “Paul” Jones, of Madera, California passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 after reaching the age of 84 years old. He died peacefully within his home in Madera, California hand in hand with his beloved wife, Joyce by his side.

 Paul was born on October 9, 1936 in Maude, Oklahoma to Virgil and Grace Jones.  Paul married the love of his life Joyce Jones on February 14, 1956 and have been inseparable and just celebrated their 65-wedding anniversary. They have lived in Madera, California for the last 58 years.  Paul and Joyce have 4 loving children together; Paula Duclo, Pamela Chamblin, Karen Paolinelli, and Daniel Jones.

Paul worked as an auto mechanic by trade, but he could work on and fix just about anything. Known for his handiness and yeoman’s work ethic. 
Paul was a family man through and through, and he loved the outdoors. So, taking his family camping, fishing, hunting or water skiing were some of his favorite activities. One of his favorite spots was camping at Mammoth Pool, it combined many of his favorite things: family, fishing, waterskiing and the great outdoors. 
 
He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, a man who would give his shirt for a friend.

He was a good father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them, a loving grandfather and “great-grand” father to many.
 
Paul was a strong, proud and good man. He is loved and will be missed by many!

He is preceded in death by parents, Virgil and Grace Jones; brothers, Virgil “Junior” Jones, Wendell Jones and granddaughter, Sarah Schoettler Quigley;

Paul Jones is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Jones; children, Paula and husband Frank Duclo, Pamela Chamblin, Karen Paolinelli and husband Kirk Paolinelli, Daniel Jones and wife Cynthia Jones;  8 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; brothers Samuel Jones and Jerry Jones, and sister Norma Lamb; a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved friends and relatives.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on April 29, 2021 at 11:00am at the Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
