Dan Boria

Dan Boria passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at the age of 69.  He was born in Madera to Dario and Lorraine Boria on July 1, 1950.  Dan was involved in Midget Car Racing during his early years.  Dan spent many hours working for his dad's business, Dario Boria Electric, during his youth.  He attended local schools, graduating from Madera High School with the class of 1969.  During high school, Dan played drums for a band called The Gearlords.  

After graduation, Dan attended Fresno City College, where he took classes to become a licensed electrician.  Dan established his own business, Dan Boria Electric and later as Independent Electric, in Madera.  He was a union electrician and contractor for many years.  At the end of his career, he worked for Fresno County as a maintenance electrician.  Dan took great pride in his work and was a member of the Electrical Union IBEW Local 100.  Dan was in the Army National Guard Reserves.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Kathy Fenske.  They were married July 31, 1970.  He is also survived by their daughters, Shannon Bonas, and her husband, Barry, of Madera, and Danae Fernandes, and her husband, Anthony, of Fresno.  Also surviving Dan are his cherished grandchildren, Katelyn Bonas and Braydan Bonas, and Aubrey Fernandes.  He leaves behind a family that will greatly miss him.  He was a hero for many, always caring and kind, loving and concerned.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dario Boria, and his mother, Lorraine Boria.

His graveside services will be on Monday, December 30, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera, CA.
