Clemente Soliz, Sr. age 63 passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
He was born in Laredo, Texas and lived in Madera for 58 years. At the time of his passing, he had been living in Fresno or the past 6 years.
Clemente was the owner and operator of Soliz Trucking for over 25 years. He loved being on the road and making his deliveries in and out of The Port of Oakland.
During his down time, he enjoyed going around Madera in his ice-cream truck that he owned. He was known throughout Madera and the children affectionately called him “Big C’. The Ice Cream man. Even during his personal outings, children would recognize him and shout out his name.
In 1984, Clement was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost. Shortly after, he received his calling into the ministry The Lord blessed him with a heart to become an evangelist. He felt privileged to be able to preach God’s word and travel to different cities, states and countries. He was a member of Family Vine Church in Kerman. While there he was a minister, gave bible studies, and taught Sunday school. He also ministered to the Pillars (Elders) and felt truly honored that this title was bestowed upon to him.
Clemente is survived by his wife Rosmari "Muffy" Soliz, his mother, Becky Coranado, his children, Clemente Soliz Jr. and his wife Minnie, Adrian Soliz, Juan Soliz and his wife Roseanna, Natay Martin and Nathan Martin (preceded in death).
Prearranged scheduled visitation will be Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Jay Chapel from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Madera, CA
A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
