In her high school years she was active in high school sports. She also showed American Saddlebred gaited horses and in later years enjoyed Arabian horses. She loved the times she went on Trail Rides in the National Parks, especially one vacation in San Francisco Golden Gate Park with the beautiful trails there.

She loved her dogs, cats and horses and usually preferred their company, as they were always honest and true.

Charlotte also worked at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift store in Madera, starting in the 1960’s; she left the store in 2003, due to a back injury.
