Bonnie Jo McCullough was born on July 22, 1933 in Drasco, Arkansas. With her children by her side, she went to be with her Lord on April 8, 2019.
Bonnie served God faithfully her entire life and had a great love for people. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Bonnie was a long time Madera resident and retired from Madera Unified School District’s child nutrition where she touched many lives of students and staff.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elgine and Lena Spinks. Her sisters Marie Studdard, Martha West, Ruby Frazel, Bessie Elmore, Betty Calloway, and brothers Ray and Albert Spinks.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roy McCullough Jr., her daughter Jolene Palacio and her husband Ernie, her son Rick McCullough and his wife Kim, her son Bret McCullough and his wife Sandra, her daughter Sherisse DeOrian and her husband Sam, and her loving sisters Irene Smith and Robbie McKeever.
She is blessed with her grandchildren Shannon Palacioz and her husband Pat, Ashley Carabajal and her husband Jonathan, Preston McCullough and his wife Katie, Addison McCullough, Brittany Guizar and her husband Danny, Bret Roy McCullough, Jake and Kyle DeOrian, and great grandchildren Alyssa, Aidan, and Quentin Geiger, Jianna and Cain Carabajal, and Nathan Guizar.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held Tuesday, April 16th at 11:30 A.M. at Yosemite Christian Center located at 1201 East Yosemite, Madera, CA.
