Billie Irene Sloan, 71, passed away on March 12, 2023 at her home in Clovis CA. Billie Sloan was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico, to Mattie Bell Caillouette and Fred Alton Campbell on April 30, 1951. She grew up in Madera and Firebaugh area then moved to Fresno where she worked for the Fresno County Department of Social Services for 28 years before retirement. She was proud that she graduated in 1993 from the first class of the certification program from UC Davis. Billie Sloan was dedicated she enjoyed her job and serving the community and her clients. As the oldest of six girls, she was very outgoing and enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and spending time traveling with her family and friends. She loved Bass Lake. Enjoying nature and fishing to her hearts content. Billie bowled in the 500 club and was an excellent bowler. She loved traveling in her RV wherever it would take her. Billie loved all her family and was involved with all aspects of their lives. She will be loved and missed for eternity. Her presence alone was worth more than words could ever describe. Billie Sloan is survived by her siblings Pauline Livengood, Dorothy Huckabee, Elizabeth Morales, and Freada Spoon. Her daughters Florence Irene O and Charleen Juarez and sons-in-law Won O and Edgar Juarez. Her grandchildren Holly Bridges, Gabriella Juarez, Allison Juarez, Dominick Juarez, Patricia Hawk, Wesley Stewardson, Rebecka Bishop, Callie O, and Tyler Oh. Her great grandchildren Ethan Hawk, Logan Hawk, Kamden Hawk, Riley Hawk, Matthew Galindo, Leann Bishop, and Nate Galindo. She is remembered by her late husband Jim Sloan and sister Genevieve Saldivar. She will always be a beacon of light to the people she cared for and loved. Viewing and memorial service is to be held March 25, 2023, at Jay Chapel in Madera. Viewing is between 11am and 2pm. Followed by memorial service at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow at conclusion of service or 3pm at Charleen Juarez home at 68 Decatur Ave Clovis CA 93611. Graveside service to be determined at a later date.
