Barbara Ann Vulich

Barbara Ann Vulich, age 70, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021.

She was born May 4, 1951 in Concord, CA to parents Mary and Ernest Mattschei. She resided with her parents in Walnut Creek, where she attended Pleasant Hill High School and graduated in 1969. Barbara married her husband, Richard Vulich Sr. in 1970, moved to Fresno in 1971 and eventually settled in Madera in 1977. She spent several years working at the JC Penney in Madera and, after the store closure; she enjoyed her time as a mother and homemaker. She could often be found enjoying simple things in life such as reading, getting her nails done and watching Hallmark movies. In 2011, Barbara and Richard moved to Clovis, CA, so they could be closer to their granddaughter, where they resided until Barbara’s passing.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard Vulich Sr., son Richard and daughter-in-law Cris, son John and daughter-in-law Laurie and only grandchild, Elizabeth. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Ernest Mattschei, her brother Robert Mattschei and son Michael.

Rosary/Vigil services will be held Friday, January14, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Jay Chapel, Madera with Funeral service to follow immediately afterwards.
