Arthur Orta Zamora

Arthur Orta Zamora passed away on July 24, 2020 at the age of 74. Arthur was born in California and was a resident of Madera for most of his life. He worked at Goodyear Tire Center for over 30 years and was also a retired Sheriff Reserve. Arthur enjoyed many things in life including being an Oakland Raider fan, going to Chukchansi Casino on the weekends, going on drives to the coast in his car with his music playing, but most of all he enjoyed being around the people he loved, his family.

Arthur is survived by his three children Art Zamora Jr. of Madera, Michele Zamora of Madera and Giovanni Zamora of Fresno, his brother Jesse O. Zamora of Madera, and his two sisters Stella Ortez of Chowchilla and Vicky Zamora of Madera. Arthur also leaves behind seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Jay Chapel in Madera. A Private Family Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Joachim and a recording of the services will be available for the public to watch by 5:00 pm on Friday, July 31, 2020 on the Jay Chapel website page. Interment will immediately follow the church services at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.

AS A RESULT OF NEW RULES ISSUED ON 07/14/2020 BY GOVERNOR NEWSOM IMPACTING FUNERALS, THERE IS A MAXIMUM OF 10 IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS ALLOWED INSIDE THE CHURCH DURING FUNERAL SERVICES. 

REGULATIONS FOR THE MADERA CEMETERY DISTRICT ALLOW NO MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE AT GRAVESIDE SERVICES. PLEASE MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AND WEAR A FACE MASK DURING PUBLIC GATHERINGS.
