Amelia Rocha Cardoza

Amelia Rocha Cardoza, 92, of Fresno passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 following a brief illness. Born in Lemoore, CA she was a long time resident of Fresno where she had worked as a housekeeper. Over the years Amelia was very active in the I.D.E.S. Portuguese Fraternal Society. For the last several years she was a resident of the Nazareth House.

Amelia was preceded in death by her husband Tony Cardoza in 2012, and by brothers Manuel Rocha, John Rocha, Frank Rocha and Joe Rocha.

She is survived by her siblings, Seraphim Rocha, Tony Rocha, Mary Souza, and Lourdes Avila as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 9:00 AM, followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 AM

Interment will be on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.

Remembrances may be made in the form of Mass Offerings or to the Nazareth House.
