Adela Torres Becerra

Adela Torres Becerra, 62, a Madera resident for 50 years passed away on November 23, 2018 at a Madera Hospital after a brief illness. Adela a homemaker was born in Michoacan, Mexico to Jose Guadalupe and Bertha Torres and immigrated to the United States at an early age.

Adela was always looking out for her family and friends, watching their homes while they were away on vacation making sure their plants were watered. She was the type of person who always kept in touch with family and friends and was the first to call you in the morning to wish you a “Happy Birthday” and always remembering you with a card on your special occasions. If a person needed financial help Adela was willing to give you her last dollar.

Adela was preceded in death by her father Jose Guadalupe Torres, and her brother Alejandro Torres.

She is survived by her mother Bertha, her 3 children, Ignacio Becerra and his wife Azucena, Veronica Becerra and her husband Luis Resendes, and Monica Becerra. She is the sister of Rudolfo Torres, David Torres, J. Guadalupe Torres, Bertha Medina, and Angelica Negrete. Adela is the beloved grandmother of Javier Resendes, Lezlie Becerra, Kassandra Becerra and Olivia Becerra.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 2 PM to 7 PM at Jay Chapel in Madera, Rosary will follow at 7 PM at Jay Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 1 PM at St. Joachim Catholic Church. Interment will be a Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
