Abel Martinez

March 29, 1955-September 19, 2021

Abel S. Martinez, age 66, was born in Alton, TX. He lived in Madera CA. with his wife Lisa O. Martinez of 27 years.

Abel was a truck driver for most of his life and a mechanic. He was not afraid to get dirty and did not stop until the job was done. He loved to teach his sons, daughters and nephews how to do mechanical work. He was comical but blunt - never sugar coated anything.  He always blessed himself as he started a new project; he had a personal relationship with the Lord. He was a man of many trades and master of many talents. He will forever be missed and loved by all.
His daughters Patsy M. Moralez, Jovana Martinez, Liza M. Cobian Sons: Abel Martinez Jr., Tony Martinez and Peter Rogers. 22 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and one on the way.
His sister Anita Robles and Evelyn Marshall both of Big Spring TX, brothers Edward Martinez and Pete Martinez both of Midland TX.

He is preceded in death by his mother Maria De La Luz DeLeon and his father Santos Sandoval Martinez and his brother Santos Martinez Jr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA

Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Madera, CA

Services conclude at the Church.
