Cresencio Morales Ramirez passed away in Fresno, California on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the age of 84. He was born in Madera, California to Emilio and Socorro (Morales) Ramirez on April 19, 1936. Cresencio spent 26 years teaching 5th and 6th grade elementary school children at various schools in the Sacramento City Unified School District. He grew up in Madera, but spent the majority of his life in Sacramento attending college, working, and raising a family. He spent last three years living Fresno with his wife and near two of his sons.
Cresencio was a veteran of the United States Army; he was an accredited sharpshooter and served in Alaska when it was still a territory. He was a member of the V.F.W., the Moose Lodge, the Knights of Columbus, and St. Joachim Catholic Church. He received his Associates Degree at Merced City College and his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Sacramento State University.
Cresencio was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Deborah Ramirez, son Michael Ramirez and two brothers, Robert (Nicholas) Ramirez and Richard (Catarino) Ramirez.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eva Ramirez, his children, Christopher Ramirez and his wife Farah of Fresno, Arlene Nunez of Sacramento, Joseph Ramirez of Sacramento, Robert Ramirez of Fresno; his brothers Manuel Ramirez, Frank Ramirez, and Joseph Ramirez; his sisters, Marcella Martinez, Lupe Guzman, Emily Trevino, and Irene Peralta. Cresencio also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery, Madera, CA.
