Teresa "Chata" Aguilar passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the age of 75. Teresa was born in El Salvador to Miguel and Petrona (Menjivar) Carpio on August 27, 1941; she has been a resident of Madera for 30 years. Teresa worked as a homemaker. She was married to Roberto Aguilar for 52 years, and attended Grace Community Church in Madera.

Teresa was preceded in death by her brother, Eduardo. She is survived by her husband Roberto of Madera, her son, Joshua Aguilar also of Madera, her two daughters, Marlene Pineda of Santa Maria and Mabel Hernandez of Lebanon, IL, one brother, Francisco Menjivar of New York. Teresa also leaves behind eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
