Stella Solorio

December 18, 1962 ~ July 1, 2017 (age 54) 54 Years Old

Stella Solorio, of Fresno, CA passed away Saturday, July 1st, 2017 at her home surrounded by family after a long courageous fight against breast cancer.

Born in Fresno, CA on December 18th 1962, to Lawrence C. and Mary Lou Perez, Stella was a beloved wife, sister, Tia, Nina, and friend. Stella built her life on family, honesty, hard work, and helping others. She touched many lives through love, support, and laughter. She chased sunrises and sunsets, she made the most of everyday. Stella and her Husband Ben enjoyed riding their Harley together, taking both short and long distance trips. She loved to travel and plan vacations for her large family all over California and beyond. She made those closest to her feel special, particularly on birthdays when she would bake her famous birthday cakes or pack a special box of See’s Candy. She was an excellent hostess and held wonderful and thoughtful Holiday gatherings. Stella worked two jobs because of her unbeatable work ethic and the people she worked with. Her coworkers held a special place in her heart and she enjoyed going to work every day because of them.

Stella was a true advocate of “Life is better when you’re laughing”. Her home was full of love, laughter, and practical jokes. She had a can-do demeanor and relentless hustle, motivated by her own will to take care of those she loved. She was tough, she was ambitious, and she knew exactly what she wanted. She could make you laugh until your belly hurt, then just a little more. She leaves her family looking for her presence around every corner, in every smile, whisper, and change of the wind, until we meet again.

Stella is preceded in death by her parents Mary Lou and Lawrence C. Perez.

Stella is survived by her husband of 22 years, Benjamin Solorio of Fresno.
