Ruth Gagnon, age 96, a native of Harrisburg, AR and a resident of Madera, CA for 91 years, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Madera. She was a retired alterations tailor for Duncan and Scheidt and attended Madera Baptist Church. Ruth was a member of the Woman’s Improvement Club and the Madera Genealogical Society. She also served as a docent at the Madera County Historical Society Museum.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver in 1996 and daughter Carol in 2015.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Twyla Denney and her husband Lloyd of Madera, CA. 1 sister: Zettie Gabrialson and her husband V.L. of Madera, CA and sister-in-law, Dody Harrell of Modesto. She was also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Jay Chapel in Madera. Funeral services will be Friday, January 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Jay Chapel. Interment will follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
