In loving memory of Herman Richard Cheatham
Herman Richard Cheatham, age 72, was born in Madera CA on June 11, 1945, and passed away, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at a Fresno Hospital. He was a proud 16-year Navy Veteran having served during the Viet Nam conflict.
During his working years Richard had several jobs, most recently working as a Meat Inspector with the USDA. Richard’s most favorite past time was going different places with his RV group.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his son, Aaron Cheatham of Gravette AR, his daughter, Alicia Renee Twyford of Columbia SC , his step-son Brian Nickel of Bakersfield CA, his brother David “Bo” Cheatham of Madera CA, and two sisters Panzy Anglin of Madera CA, and Pearley Peevey of Garden Grove CA. He was the grandfather to Kaleb Cheatham, Mylasia Lawson and Jacob Lawson, Mathew Nickel, and Kristina Barnes, and the great grandfather to Zander Barnes.
A Memorial Service will be held on, Friday, February 9, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Jay Chapel in Madera.
