Marion “Mary” Simpson, was born August 15, 1949 in Bakersfield, CA to Orvil and Lottie Williams. She was a resident of Madera, CA for over 30 years. Mary passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 in Madera and is now with the Lord. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana and homemaker for the past 50 years. She attended both the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Kerman and Valley West Christian Center in Madera. She loved spending time gardening and reading. She also cherished spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 51 years, Marvin Simpson of Madera, CA. Also, 2 sons: Aaron Simpson and his wife Heather of Fresno, CA and David Simpson and his wife Carlene of Clovis, CA. and 3 daughters: Laura Toney and her husband Lorin, Mariann Perez and her husband Paul and Sarah Hibdon and her husband Nathan; all of Madera, CA. She has 3 brothers: Kenneth Williams and Marlin Williams both of Fresno, CA and Rick Williams of Texas. 2 sisters: Ruby Williams of Madera, CA and Helen Hicks of Arizona. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Marion’s life will be held Friday, October 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Valley West Christian Center in Madera. Private interment will be at Academy Cemetery in Clovis.
