Dorothy “Dora” Serrano was born on March 19, 1942 in Madera, CA to Juana and Rafael Parra.  She was 1 of 8 siblings.  Dora worked her whole life in agriculture.  From a young age her parents taught her the honor in hard work. 

Dora married Daniel Serrano in Hollister, CA on May 10, 1963. She grew up in Madera Ca, moved to Hollister Ca with her husband where she lived for 37 years.  She lived the rest of her 17 years with her daughters in Fresno.  Dora had a strong spirit, the will of iron and the love of an angel.  She will be greatly missed.  

Dora was preceded in death by her husband Daniel, her brothers Jimmy and Alex and her sisters Josefine and Frances.  She went home to be with them on June 12, 2017. 

Dora is survived by her three daughters, Esther Villarreal of Hollister, Irma Garcia of Fresno, and Irene Serrano of Fresno, and her three brothers, Jesse Parra of Fresno, Juan Parra of El Paso, TX, and Ralph Parra of San Antonio, TX.   Dora also leaves behind her seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA.
Inurnment immediately following at Calvary Cemetery, Madera.
