Cristian Ramirez

January 21, 2000 ~ November 7, 2017 (age 17) 17 Years Old

Cristian Jonathan Ramirez, age 17, passed away on November 7th, 2017 at Valley Children’s Hospital. Cristian was born in Madera on January 21, 2000 to Misael and Araceli (Macedo) Ramirez.

Cristian attended Madera High School, where he was a member of the Varsity Soccer Team and a dedicated student. Soccer was his passion; he started playing at the mere age of 4 1/2 years old. He was an all-around athlete, learning to ride a bike at the age of 2 (without training wheels), winning 1st place at a Jiu Jitsu tournament at the age of 12, and succeeding at any sport he set his mind to. He had academic aspirations to be an architect and to attend a well-recognized four year university.

Although he was viewed as the “shy and quiet” young man, he had a side that his family describes as kind, respectful, intelligent, responsible, adventurous, and a gentleman. Cristian enjoyed dancing and had his mother’s good rhythm. His work ethic was inherited from his dedicated and loving father. His kindness shined when loving and caring for his siblings.
He was a loving son and brother; he was always making sure his family was cared for. During the 2yrs he battled with his illness he remained resilient and strong for his loved ones, never complaining of pain or fatigue, never giving up the fight. He was their courageous hero.

Cristian is survived by his parents Misael and Araceli Ramirez, his siblings Yuridian, Brian, and Bella Ramirez and all his loved ones.
