Carrol Francis Gunter, age 83, a native of North Carolina and a resident of Madera, California for 60 years passed away in Fresno, California on Sunday, October 8, 2017. He was born to Arthur and Mattie Brown Gunter. Following his education he served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. Carrol was a Farmer for 60 years.

In addition to his parents, Carrol was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Gillian, in August of this year. Also preceeding him in death are his siblings, Lee Gunter, Clarence Gunter, Margie Forester and Vivian Kirkpatrick.

He is survived by his children, Lorna Kushnieryk and her husband Randall, Edmond Gunter and his wife Stephanie and Eric Gunter and his wife Cindy, all of Madera. He is the brother of Warren Gunter of Oakhurst, CA and Frank Gunter of Arizona and the brother- in- law of Duane Anderson and Rena Gunter both of Madera and Thelma Hansen of New Mexico. He is the grandfather of Katelynn and Eric Jr. and he great grandfather of Dominic Paul Gunter.

Visitation will be held at Jay Chapel, on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Service at 9:00 A.M. at Jay Chapel. Interment and Veteran Honor's will follow at 1:30 P.M. at The San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Gustine, California.

Remembrances may be made to the Donor's favorite charity.
