Blas Montoya De Luna passed away on August 3, 2017 in Madera, at the age of 88. He was born to Jose and Maria De Luna in Jerez, Mexico on February 3, 1929. Blas has been a resident of Madera, CA for the past 50 years where he worked as a farm laborer for 45 years.

Blas was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Alberto and his daughter, Martha. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Manuela De Luna of Madera, by his four children, Osvaldo “Ozzy” De Luna and his wife Alma of Atwater, Blas Manuel De Luna of Firebaugh, Leticia De Luna Garza and her husband Cesar Sr. and Susana De Luna both of Madera, his brother Miguel De Luna and three sisters, Natolia Ortega of Rosemead, Soledad De Luna of Mexico and Socorro De Luna of Echo Park. Blas also leaves behind nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Jay Chapel, Monday, August 7, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 7:00 P.M. also at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Madera, CA

Interment to follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, CA
